The problem with Junior was not a lack of desire or determination, rather it was his inability to sing. His voice was just awful. It could easily be compared to the sound of dying cattle or a screeching owl.

Struggle is just a word until you live through it, and he did, on several fronts. He played guitar on demos to make ends meet and watched and learned as songwriters did everything they could to put their ideas on tape, waiting for the big break that would probably never come.

It was during one of these sessions that Junior asked a pretty successful writer what the trick was to writing a hit song. The man looked him dead in the eye and told him there was no trick, it's all about writing what you know. Just make sure your song tells a story. Paint a picture with a beginning, a middle, and an end.

He didn't waste any time. He wrote from his heart. The joy and the pain, the passion and desire; and now, after what seems like forever, he might have found an answer.

Junior Clancy's songs are real, written by a human hand, from real experiences; but the voice you hear is an AI amalgamation of Junior's shriek and shrill real voice being aided by technology.

He's not trying to pretend or fool anyone - on the contrary, he's trying to finally get noticed by the artists and publishers that have turned him away for so many years. His songs are touching and heartfelt. He really just wants them, (needs them), to be heard.
